The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at Asheville Park, knocking off the Asheville Highlanders, 6-0. On the mound for Northville was right-hander Reynaldo Hernández, who played a pivotal role in the win. Joseph McMahon earned the save for Northville, his 1st. The Eclipse raised their record to 20-15.

The outcome might have been different for Northville, had it not been for Drake Sheehan, the 25-year old third baseman . Sheehan stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put Northville up, 6-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Sheehan told the Northville Daily News.
