O'Bryan Leads Thunder to 8-3 Win Over Polar Bears
The home crowd had a good time watching the Billings Polar Bears and St. Petersburg Thunder get after it.

The St. Petersburg Thunder topped the Billings Polar Bears, 8-3, with center fielder Nick O'Bryan playing a big role. O'Bryan went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Thunder in the win. Alfonso Escamilla earned the win to go to 3-3. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Lee Fortescue locked down his 1st save.

O'Bryan contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for St. Petersburg in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, O'Bryan took a splitter from Mike Peterson and stroked the double to left. His 12th double of the season allowed the Thunder to leap in front, 2-1.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," O'Bryan told the St. Petersburg Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

With the win, St. Petersburg has a record of 14-20. Billings falls to 14-20.
