Atoms Lose By a Run at Billings, 6-5
Fans watched the Billings Polar Bears and the Bethesda Atoms fight to the finish.

A good performance from center fielder Ismael Carrillo helped the Billings Polar Bears defeat the Bethesda Atoms, 6-5. Carrillo went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Polar Bears. Billings reliever Bruce Lewis picked up the win to move to 1-3. Ryan Burton suffered the loss. Earning his 10th save for Billings was Richard Kinmont.

Had John Rice not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Rice hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Polar Bears.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Carrillo said.

Billings has now won 4 games in a row.
