A good performance from third baseman Drake Sheehan helped the Northville Eclipse defeat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-2. Sheehan was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Eclipse. Northville pitcher Reynaldo Hernández got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Nick Johnston got the loss. With the victory, the Eclipse record now stands at 14-11.

Sheehan contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Northville get the win.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Sheehan told the Northville Daily News.
