Asheville picked up a win at The Igloo, bumping off the Billings Polar Bears, 4-0. Pitcher Glen Burt was a major reason the Highlanders emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Burt, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Picking up the save was Viriato Hembise, his 1st.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Juan Santos to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Highlanders on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Glad to get this win," said Santos. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."

Asheville is now 10-14, while Billings is 9-15.
