Krewe Lose By a Run at Asheville, 3-2
|
The Asheville Highlanders beat the Crescent City Krewe, 3-2, at Asheville Park. Asheville third baseman Lorenzo Álvarez had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Krewe fall to 7-12 and continue their lackluster start in 2055.
Paul Young, the Asheville center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 3-2, Highlanders. For the game, Young went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
