Highlanders Win, 6-3, at Bethesda
|
Asheville right-hander Glen Burt pitched his team to victory over the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field. The final score was 6-3. Asheville has a mark of 3-6 after the win.
Asheville used the bat of Graham Wooten to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Wooten told the Asheville Daily News.
