Big Day for Kam in 8-2 Hops Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old catcher Hsueh-liang Kam, the Yakima Hops stopped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Elliott Boyd. He's now 5-8. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits for the Hops. The Hops are now 48-49, while the Cangrejos Fantasmas fall to 66-31.

With Yakima leading 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Kam hit a fastball from Jim Jesse for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Hops ahead, 8-2.
