The home crowd had a good time watching the Squirrel Hill Pierogis and Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas get after it.
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas defeated the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 7-3, at Ghost Crab Park today. Leading the charge for Chesapeake was second baseman Walter White. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Silver AA-leading Cangrejos Fantasmas are 59-26.
Had Abram Kavalerov not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kavalerov hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Cangrejos Fantasmas.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kavalerov.
