|
Toledo starter Pat Kirkpatrick throttled the Ottawa offense, as the Saboteurs won in a rout, 11-0. Kirkpatrick, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Toledo currently is in 7th place in the Silver AA at 38-46.
Arturo Mendoza made an early impact for Toledo when he stroked his 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with two out in the top of the third, put the Saboteurs on top, 2-0.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Kirkpatrick.
