Turbeaus Suffer 5-3 Setback

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks took Gulf Coast pitcher Jim Mack's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Mobile Home Park. The final score had Ft. Polk South getting past the Turbeaus, 5-3. Mack went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 5. Ft. Polk South pitcher Dylan Ziersch got the win. He's now 5-1. Mario Noceda was tagged with the loss. The 'W' lifts Ft. Polk South's record to 45-37.
Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Gilby O'Bryan to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," O'Bryan told the Ft. Polk South Herald.
