van de Par Delivers Walk-Off Win for Fat Cats
|
George Taylor was outstanding against Chesapeake. The right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2052 draft, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Fat Cats 4-3 win. With this game in the books, Ottawa is 36-41, Chesapeake 53-24.
Timo van de Par was the walk-off hero for Ottawa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fat Cats designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"What a buzz," said van de Par after it was over.
