Thunder Hawks Beat Turbeaus, 3-2

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks had to overcome a fine performance from Gulf Coast pitcher Jim Mack to grab a 3-2 win at Mobile Home Park. Mack allowed 1 run over 5.1 innings. Sergio Rocha, now 3-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The Thunder Hawks sit in 4th place in the Silver AA with a record of 20-16.
Ft. Polk South relied on the hitting of Norberto Carrillo to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 3-1. For the game, Carrillo had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Carrillo said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
