The Gulf Coast Turbeaus trumped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 7-3, at Mobile Home Park. Gulf Coast third baseman Alonso Rivera was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Otis Luhgow was called on to finish, recording his 9th save. Gulf Coast is now 16-19, Ft. Polk South 19-16.

Kevin Vega dealt the Thunder Hawks a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Gulf Coast leading 2-0, Vega hit a first pitch curveball for a 2-run single.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Vega told the Gulf Coast Gazette.
