Ballpark of Tacoma was the site of a tense game between the Tacoma Fur Traders and Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks.

Ft. Polk South center fielder Panagiotis Solomonidis made his presence felt in the 2-1 Thunder Hawks triumph over the Tacoma Fur Traders. Solomonidis was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The Thunder Hawks now have a record of 19-13 with the win over Tacoma.

Solomonidis had a big hit for Ft. Polk South with no one out in the top of the second. With Ft. Polk South leading 1-0, Solomonidis hit a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Thunder Hawks up, 2-0.

"That's baseball," said Tacoma manager Gil Schmidt. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
