4-0 Loss to Thunder Hawks Extends Squirrel Hill Losing Streak

Pitcher Ze-dong Jiao was sensational for the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Squirrel Hill Pierogis. Jiao picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The winning pitcher was Jiao, now 2-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Ft. Polk South.
Gilberto Gómez hit a run-scoring double off Jed Knight in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Thunder Hawks in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Gómez had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Carlos Soto.
