Despite a great performance by Yakima right fielder Dwight Veenbrink, the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas defeated the Hops by the score of 7-3 at Ghost Crab Park. Veenbrink went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Francis O'Farrell got the win, improving to 4-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Toichi Kodo recorded his 2nd save for Chesapeake.

The Cangrejos Fantasmas got a big at-bat from left fielder Amos Burton. For the game, Burton was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Chesapeake a 2-1 lead.
