The Yakima Hops did just enough to sneak past the Toledo Saboteurs, 3-2, at Hops Park. Yakima pitcher Travis Martin, in particular, had a standout performance. Martin got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Martin allowed 2 runs. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Kelly McCarthy.

Jimmy Blankenship tagged a home run off Esko Haapakoski in the bottom of the third. His 2-run blast put the Hops on top, 2-0. In all, Blankenship had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Martin said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
