Whales Absorb 3-0 Loss at Sixshooters Stadium
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Westwood Sixshooters and Virginia Beach Whales.
In a low-scoring game between the Westwood Sixshooters and the Virginia Beach Whales, pitcher Wiyoto Djajadiningrat was masterful on the mound. The Westwood left-hander spearheaded his team's 3-0 win. Westwood's record now stands at 48-50, placing them 6th in the Menard's AA.
Elliott Hamilton had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Westwood. He came through with a 2-run home run to put Westwood in front, 3-0.
Afterward, Sixshooters manager Ricardo Vásquez was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
