Farmers Take Nail-Biter Over Whales
The Lancaster Farmers picked up a win at Farmers Field, knocking off the Virginia Beach Whales, 5-2. Starting pitcher Jeffrey Young was a big reason why. Lancaster pitcher Martin Allen got the win. He's now 3-0. Mark McMinn was tagged with the loss. Lancaster is now 43-50, Virginia Beach 45-48.

John O'Kerrigan won the game for Lancaster when homered off Mark McMinn in the bottom of the 14th.

"This place was jumping at the end," Young said.
