David Brandon was locked and loaded, helping the Olympia Ogres beat the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-0. The winning pitcher was Brandon, now 4-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. Olympia is now 38-26.

The Whales had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Ogres going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Sandross Bañaga came to the plate. Bañaga hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Virginia Beach hurler Tim Moore. It was Bañaga's 11th double of the year.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Brandon told the Olympia Daily.
