Barton Springs starter Steve Green had a strong outing against the Lancaster Farmers at Blues Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. In 7.1 innings, Green surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. José Vargas notched his 7th save in 9 chances.
Eric Duncan came through for Barton Springs in the bottom of the first. With two out, Duncan victimized Lu Tan with a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put Barton Springs on top, 2-0.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Duncan.
The Blues, at 27-33, sit in 9th place in the Menard's AA.
