Guinea Pigs Fall Short, 4-3, at Olympia
|
The Olympia Ogres picked up a win at The Ogre Den, knocking off the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 4-3. Starting pitcher Kahakuokahale Nakaunicina was a big reason why. Nakaunicina, now 6-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Max Schwarzacher finished the game for Olympia and earned his 3rd save.
David Grassley tagged a home run off Sebastian Brown in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run blast put the Ogres on top, 4-3. In all, Grassley had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Grassley.
The win puts Olympia at 34-20 this season.
