Streaking Rails Win Another One, 3-1
|
The Richland Rails extended their winning streak.
The Richland Rails picked up a win at Blues Field, courtesy of Elroy Mastenbroek. The left-hander helped his team stop the Barton Springs Blues, 3-1. Mastenbroek picked up the win for Richland, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4.
Richland used a timely hit from Millard Blanchard to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rails ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Richland manager Eduardo Hernández.
Richland has now won 6 games in a row.
