Barton Springs starter Steve Green pitched well against the Virginia Beach Whales at Virginia Beach Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-1. The Blues now have a record of 10-22.

Eric Duncan broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the third with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Blues in front, 1-0. For the game, Duncan drove in one run.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Green told the Barton Springs Citizen.
