Mariachis Topple Ogres, 5-0
|
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis picked up a win at Mariachi Band Shell, knocking off the Olympia Ogres, 5-0. Starting pitcher Mark Weston played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Nuevo Mexico boosts its record to 10-4.
Randy Silva had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the second for Nuevo Mexico. With the bases loaded and the Mariachis leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Silva told the Nuevo Mexico Observer.
