Blackburn goes 3-for-4, Leads Hurricanes to Win
Led by Gary Blackburn, the Cape Coral Hurricanes downed the Dayton Dirty Reds, 9-7. Blackburn was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Hurricanes. Sun Tah, now 10-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on no hits in 2 innings. Victor Jones converted his 15th save in 15 tries.

With Cape Coral leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Blackburn came up to bat against Dayton pitcher Max van Capelleveen. Blackburn hit a curveball to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Hurricanes on top, 7-0.

"We got the victory," said Blackburn. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The win gives Cape Coral a season record of 54-45.
