Dirty Reds Take Down Leviathan, 3-2
In a low-scoring affair between the Dayton Dirty Reds and the Nova Scotia Leviathan, pitcher Kevin Horton was the difference between victory and defeat. The Dayton right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Dirty Reds win. Dayton reliever Kim-Hu Tung was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Jorge Valdéz. With this game in the books, Dayton is 39-53, Nova Scotia 54-38.

Elliot Banks was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk for Dayton. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Banks delivered for the Dirty Reds. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Dayton on top, 3-2.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nova Scotia manager Tyler Studebaker. "But we decided not to take it."
