Nova Scotia pitcher Wes Johnston did his part in helping his team beat the Dayton Dirty Reds, 2-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Robinson Espinoza notched his 7th save in 7 chances. With the win, Nova Scotia pushed its record to 54-37.

The Dirty Reds had trouble solving Johnston, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings.
