Hollywood Topples Dayton, 1-0
|
The Dayton Dirty Reds wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Yin-reng Fong, falling 1-0 to the Hollywood Shredders at Lang Park. José Salinas got credit for the win, improving to 9-5. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 6.1 innings. Hollywood has a 3-game win streak, while Dayton has lost 3 in a row.
Hollywood took a 1-0 lead on Dustin Tate's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Dayton pitcher Yin-reng Fong in the top of the seventh.
"Runs were at a premium," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
