Fine Effort by Lemus Not Enough in 8-6 Condor Loss
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC overcame a fine performance by Santa Catalina catcher Ramón Lemus to defeat the Condor, 8-6, at Condor Nest. Lemus went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Vicente Molina earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and no strikeouts in 6 innings of work. José Cruz earned the save for Thunder Bay, his 8th of the year.

Thunder Bay used a well-timed hit by Jacob Grimsey to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 6-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
