The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC did just enough to sneak past the Hollywood Shredders, 4-3, at The Hollywood Bowl. Thunder Bay pitcher Steve Hale, in particular, had a standout performance. Mike Allen earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Troy Charles Jr. was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

Thunder Bay needed the clutch hitting of Claudio Sosa to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-3. For the game, Sosa had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
