The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC did just enough to secure a victory over the Buckhead Bowties, 4-3, at 5 Paces Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Arthur Ward. Thunder Bay reliever Danny Dillard was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Walt Gould took the loss. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Buckhead.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Shintaro Hagi? The Thunder Bay right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 1-0. For the game, Hagi had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
