Mohala Excels, But Northern Lions BC Win
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC weathered a fine game by Buckhead first baseman Ieremia Mohala to upend the Bowties, 12-8, at 5 Paces Park. Mohala was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Buckhead now has a 5-game losing streak.

Thunder Bay relied on the hitting of Leonard Saunders to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 3-0. For the game, Saunders had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Northern Lions BC manager Scott Williams wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
