The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Las Vegas Flamingos played an exciting game.
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC beat the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-2. Thunder Bay pitcher and Lindenhurst, New York, native Edward Brown led the way. Brown got the win, improving to 4-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Brown allowed 2 runs. José Cruz closed the door for Thunder Bay, picking up his 5th save of the year.
Thunder Bay relied on the hitting of Clarence Hogan to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 3-0. For the game, Hogan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Edward was pounding the zone," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams.
