Maldonado Twirls a Gem for Nova Scotia
|
Alfredo Maldonado pitched a masterpiece in helping Nova Scotia triumph over the Las Vegas Flamingos, 3-1. Nova Scotia is now 27-15, while Las Vegas is 20-22.
Maldonado was effective for Nova Scotia, seldom allowing the Flamingos to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 105 pitches over 8.1 innings. He limited Las Vegas to just 1 run on 1 hit.
Leviathan manager Tyler Studebaker praised Maldonado after the game. "I keep telling everyone," he said, "'Don't go to sleep on this kid.'"
