The Hartford Pride topped the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 5-3, in USSL Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The standout performance belonged to Hartford pitcher and Springhill, Louisiana, native Bob Wicks. The Pride, at 46-56, sit in 7th place in the Silver AAA.

Okakura Samurakami hit a 2-run home run off Steve MacDougal in the top of the 12th, which put the Pride ahead, 5-3. In addition to the homer, Samurakami had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 6.

"Bob was throwing strikes, locating well," said Hartford manager Terry King.
