The Port Huron Blitzkrieg had to overcome a good performance from Sunset District pitcher Thad Phillips to claim a 3-2 win at Port Huron Park. Phillips went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Blitzkrieg raised their record to 37-56.
Also having an impact was center fielder Kevin Morris, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third for Port Huron. For the game, Morris was 1 for 4.
