Thunderbirds Snag 4-3 Win
The Hamilton Thunderbirds withstood an impressive performance by Port Huron left fielder Mauro Quijano to defeat the Blitzkrieg, 4-3, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Quijano went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hamilton pitcher Willie Wooton got the win. He's now 1-0. Bailey Telfer was tagged with the loss. Gary Dillon closed the door for Hamilton, picking up his 7th save of the year.

Hamilton took a 4-3 lead on Austin Kirkpatrick's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Kirkpatrick hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Port Huron pitcher Bailey Telfer shaking his head.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kirkpatrick told the Hamilton Today.

Hamilton currently is in 6th place in the Silver AAA at 41-48.
