Norfolk and Hamilton duked it out and the Pajaritos came out victorious.

Pajaritos designated hitter Felipe Lamoncha put his stamp on his team's 8-5 win over the Hamilton Thunderbirds. Lamoncha went 1-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Norfolk in the contest. Alex Richardson, the winning pitcher, is now 8-4. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1.

Curt Wilson, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wilson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Norfolk up, 2-1.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Wilson told the Norfolk Gazette.

Norfolk is now 46-34, while Hamilton is 36-44.
