Pride Win Thriller, 5-4
|
Hamilton got a terrific game from designated hitter Daniel Long. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Hartford, 5-4. Long was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hartford is 7th in the Silver AAA with a record of 32-46.
The most significant at-bat for Hartford came with the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth. Pride second baseman Ray Reed hit a solo home run to win the game.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Reed said in his postgame press conference.
