The inspired effort of Ellenburg designated hitter Hamilton Jackson was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-2, to the Hamilton Thunderbirds. Jackson was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hamilton, at 33-35, holds down 6th place in the Silver AAA.

Bo Ouwendijk put Hamilton in front, 3-1, when he hit a solo home run off George Gross in the top of the fifth. It was his 1st home run of the season.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Ouwendijk told the Hamilton Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
