Fighting Dachshunds Deal Rainbeaus 9-6 Defeat
A 3-RBI performance from Jim Medrano, the 15th overall pick in the 2046 draft, helped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 9-6. Ikaaka Iokia earned the save, his 10th. The 9th-place Fighting Dachshunds sport a record of 26-40.

Arnie Dunn's at-bat in the top of the sixth inning was a big one for Ellenburg. Coming to bat with one out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Ellenburg trailing 3-2, the shortstop hit a run-scoring single.

Fighting Dachshunds manager Marvin Hayes wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
