Thunderbirds Get One-Run Win at Kansas
Despite a great performance by Kansas first baseman Víctor Rivas, the Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Rainbeaus by the score of 6-5 at Wichita Field. Rivas was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Gary Dillon notched his 4th save in 4 chances. The Thunderbirds improved to 30-32.

Victor Porter, the 29-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Porter contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Hamilton up, 4-1.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Kansas manager Will Thomas. "But we decided not to take it."
