Humpbacks Pick Up 3-2 Win
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks topped the Sunset District Fog, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Sea World. The standout performance belonged to Alaskan pitcher and Oakland, California, native Curtis Hall. Hall, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Luis Boll recorded his 4th save for Alaskan.
Making an impact for the home team was Dave Alexander. In the bottom of the fourth, the 29-year old center fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 3-1, Humpbacks.
Hall told the Alaskan News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
The Fog, at 37-25, have lost 5 in a row.
