Fighting Dachshunds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Pride
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds beat the Hartford Pride, 6-5, in part because of left fielder Ernest Crane. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Picking up the save was Ambrose McClure, his 1st. Ellenburg is 9th in the Silver AAA with a record of 22-34.

Ellenburg used the timely hitting of Eric Heath to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the 18th inning to put the Fighting Dachshunds ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 8 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Exciting game to play in," said Crane. "Getting the win makes it even better."
