The Port Huron Blitzkrieg stopped the Hartford Pride, 5-4, behind an impressive performance from Mike Sherman. The 31-year old second baseman made life miserable for Hartford pitching. He was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Port Huron is now 18-36, Hartford 25-29.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Sherman. Facing Dan Smith with the bases loaded, the Port Huron designated hitter had a run-scoring walk. Game over, walk-off style!
