Pajaritos Beat Rainbeaus, 7-1
|
Pitcher Chris Small was sensational for the Norfolk Pajaritos in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Kansas Rainbeaus. Small picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The 6th-place Pajaritos improved to 26-27.
The Pajaritos got an important contribution from shortstop Phil Parks, who in the top of the third hit a 1-2 changeup into left-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Pajaritos ahead, 2-0.
Parks told the Norfolk Gazette: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
