The Port Huron Blitzkrieg beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 6-2. Port Huron pitcher and Duluth, Minnesota, native Ed Pearce led the way. Pearce, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. Port Huron, with the win, climbs to 11-29.

Mike McKinney went 1-3 for Port Huron. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Felipe Hernández. It was his 5th RBI of the season.

Pearce told a Port Huron News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
