|
The Hartford Pride downed the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 8-4, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Mario Rodríguez led the way, going 2-for-5 for Hartford. Mark Hogan was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. The Pride raised their record to 19-19.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Rodríguez hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Rodríguez told the Hartford Chronicle. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
